Last weekend we were sweating like crazy, running around, trying to fit everything in--which is probably better than laying in bed all weekend, watching bootlegged American TV shows.

hen/stag party

Hen and stag parties are supposed to be seperate events to celebrate your last moments of freedom before you get married. But in a town as small as Kokura (one million people), our parties inevitably collided. That's when the night got messy.

Iwaya

After driving around in circles for an hour, we finally made it to the beach. Even though I was forced to play CRICKET(which was actually really fun despite my anti-UK bias), it was a lovely day, almost worth the intense blistering sunburns from which we have all been suffering for the past week.

in(dependence) day

On July Fourth we hauled it to Shimonoseki to celebrate Rob and Nachan's nuptials and I remembered it was American Independence Day. Congratulations to Rob, Natsuko, and America.
